Roman Baths Trip 30/1/18

Dear Team Kestrel,

Today, the children visited the Roman Baths to deepen our learning and understanding on all things Ancient Rome. It was a brilliant trip!

The behaviour was second to none from every child (and adult!) who attended the school trip, and I’m very proud of everyone involved. They really showed what being a pupil at Welton Primary is all about: working together to achieve our best.

In the morning, we used audio guides to tour around the baths and gain information about all of the exhibits. In the afternoon, we received a superb teaching session where we handled Roman building artefacts, made mosaics and tried on Roman clothes.

On the notion of Roman artefacts, the children are busy making their own Roman shields, Roman dramatic masks and mosaics. These will all be revealed on the blog, and in real life, very soon.

I am hoping that the children will produce some good quality recounts of our day, and these will be uploaded to the blog in due course. However, that’s enough from me. Time for photos…(If you click on one, it enlarges it for better viewing.)

As always, thanks for your continued support,

Mr. W
